No matter what, get your time piece pressure tested at a local watch shop for (£5-£20) before going deep in water with it.

SC especially are said to be waterproof to 30m for most dress watches from factory, if its a divers watch they are generally 100 metres plus and they have all the water seal gaskets in the same places as Gen.
