No matter what, get your time piece pressure tested at a local watch shop for (£5-£20) before going deep in water with it.

Don’t buy a day-date or a chronograph and expect to be able to swim in it, People don’t even dare do that to the Gens.

SC especially are said to be waterproof to 30m for most dress watches from factory, if its a divers watch they are generally 100 metres plus and they have all the water seal gaskets in the same places as Gen.
